On February 10th, 2010, Bishop and David opened the doors to Merkaba Sol, a gift shop that quickly became a cornerstone of their community. With their loyal companion Ripley by their side in those early years, and later joined by Artax in 2018, the shop's warm and welcoming atmosphere was evident from the start. More than just a retail space, Merkaba Sol has evolved into a vibrant hub, offering a place for community events and classes, fostering connection and shared experiences.
David and Bishop's dedication to their community extends far beyond the shop's walls. In 2015, they launched the Merkaba Sol Travel Group, a venture that has since brought hundreds of people together on unforgettable journeys. Each April, the group escapes to all-inclusive beachfront resorts in destinations like Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Turks and Caicos, while every September, they embark on grand tours of far-flung locales, exploring the rich cultures of Ireland, Peru, Italy, and beyond. They have even created magical memories with trips to Disney World and New Orleans. These travels not only offer unique experiences but also forge lasting friendships among participants.

In 2019, they further enriched their offerings with The Chocolate Shoppe at Merkaba Sol, a delightful candy haven boasting over 300 varieties. This addition has brought joy and sweetness to the community, solidifying Merkaba Sol's role as a beloved destination. Through their shop, their travel group, and their commitment to community events, Bishop and David have truly created a space where connection and joy flourish.
